Remember Summer Camp?
As a tween, I went every year and loved learning new crafts.
Well this year I attended a jewelry making “virtual” summer camp and had a blast.
I purchased my kit of supplies and looked forward to the first day.
We had morning announcements to start us off.
Then there were several different instructors and they all had unique ideas and new techniques to teach.
Cowgirl Bracelet used cool rusted focal and I combined colors and beads to give it a Southwest look.
We wove the wire on the outside making it a compliment to the beads.
I used decorative magnetic clasp and put some patina paint to tone down the silver.
Galaxy Bracelet brought back memories of making Tree of Life pendants but with an updated look.
It was fun combining a chunky bead with some tiny ones and then using pliers to “kink” the wire held the bead in place while adding a great effect.
Daisy Bracelet had to be the quintessential “camp” project.
I don’t work with seed beads so this was completely new to me.
I loved how soothing the process felt and the tiny daisies are soooo cute.
I used a vintage button for the clasp.
Overall, I loved being able to learn some new things and revisit some old favorites.
It was over too soon and now I can’t wait till next summer.
