Met Gala 2022 Red Carpet: The Best Dressed Celebrities
The Met Gala 2022 is widely considered to be fashion’s version of the Olympics or the Oscars, and this year, celebrities are sweeping the gold with their extravagant looks. Seeing what celebrities, models, and New York socialites (OK, mostly celebrities these days) wear to the Gala is a tradition for fashion lovers, as is analyzing who literally understood the assignment—there’s a theme each year—and who, well, didn’t.
This year’s gilded glamour theme pays homage to the era of style between the 1870s and 1900s. The white-tie affair suggests attendees show up in garments reflective of America’s gilded age, which basically means the tighter the corset and longer the opera gloves, the better.
Below, see who comes in at the top of our staff’s Met Gala 2022 best dressed list. For all the Hollywood arrivals, check out the full list of star-studded attendees.
